GolehTek, LLC specializes in developing custom-engineered solutions for Adobe FrameMaker^® and WebWorks ePublisher Pro^®. We also offer a growing library of freely available scripts for users of the FrameScript^® programming language.

Custom Solutions

GolehTek specializes in finding solutions to your most challenging publishing problems. We work extensively with structured and unstructured FrameMaker and WebWorks ePublisher Pro. Examples of past engagements include the following:

• Custom Development: GolehTek, LLC lets you get back in the content creation business with custom solutions that automate and streamline repetitive tasks. If the members of your team would like to spend more time writing, we can help. We are always ready to discuss your current challenges and initiatives.
• Minimalist EDDs for Help Authoring: We specialize in structured workflows that allow you to select help-specific features (such as pop-ups, drop-downs, and custom pages) independent of the formatting applied to the text. Our minimalist EDDs contain fewer than a dozen content elements yet provide all of the formatting options you expect.
• Database Publishing: FrameMaker is especially well suited for database publishing and GolehTek LLC specializes in developing custom solutions that produce results. We use the FrameScript language and your existing templates to build solutions for a fraction of the cost of competing alternatives.
• Embedded Help Systems: GolehTek, LLC has developed custom workflows that allow our clients to create, deploy, and manage embedded help systems from within Adobe FrameMaker. We provide end-to-end solutions that allow you to author printed documentation, embedded help, and comprehensive web-based help from your FrameMaker chapters and books.
• Unstructured to Structured Document Migration: Considering making the move to structured FrameMaker but unsure about migrating your legacy content? GolehTek, LLC specializes in unstructured to structured document migration. We use specially designed wizards to structure your content while preserving cross references, imported graphics, and index markers.

Free Scripts

GolehTek also offers a growing library of freely-available scripts for users of the FrameScript programming language, including these popular scripts:

• BookMover: BookMover allows you to copy a FrameMaker book, complete with all FrameMaker documents and referenced graphics, into a new directory. A companion program, ChapterMover, allows you to copy a chapter from one FrameMaker book to another, along with all imported graphics. BookMover is especially useful in circumstances where graphics have been imported from various network drives, making a book impossible to archive.
• BookReport: BookReport is a freely-available application that can help keep track of your FrameMaker projects. BookReport generates reports that identify the interdependencies among the documents, books, and insets in your project directories. BookReport can also help you get organized by deleting .backup files and automatically zipping unused documents.
• GenDex: GenDex is a powerful and freely available application for editing and organizing index terms and headings in FrameMaker chapters and books. GenDex provides an easy-to-use, graphical user interface for editing and organizing your index. When you are finished, GenDex automatically applies your edits to the index markers in your FrameMaker source files.
• GlossBase: GlossBase greatly extends the ability of Adobe FrameMaker to produce glossaries for printed and on-line documentation. GlossBase enables you to define terms using an unlimited number of paragraphs, equations, graphics, and tables. GlossBase encodes glossary terms and definitions in XML and stores them in a database for fast retrieval. GlossBase enables you to automatically generate a glossary of relevant terms for FrameMaker books. GlossBase also inserts the markers and charater formatting for glossary definitions to appear in a pop-up window in on-line help systems generated with WebWorks ePublisher Pro^®.
