GolehTek LLC specializes in FrameMaker^® internals programming and in developing custom templates and transforms for WebWorks ePublisher Pro^®. We use the FrameScript^® programming language to develop custom interface screens, integrate relational and XML database systems, and create custom workflows. If FrameMaker or WebWorks is missing a feature you need, odds are we can implement it quickly and affordably.

FrameScript Programming

FrameScript is our language of choice for extending the capabilities of Adobe FrameMaker. FrameScript provides a robust, rapid-development environment for developing custom applications. Applications that used to be prohibitively expensive to develop using alternative methods can be developed quickly and affordably using FrameScript.

Examples of applications that we have developed using FrameScript include the following:

• Applications for generating glossaries
• Applications for generating embedded help systems
• Applications for integrating database content with structured FrameMaker documents
• Custom workflows for producing on-line help files
• Parsers that seed FrameMaker documents with object names, properties, attributes and comments gathered from source code
• Wizards for migrating unstructured content to structured FrameMaker

Structured FrameMaker Development: EDDs and DTDs

GolehTek, LLC specializes in developing EDDs (Element Definition Documents) that support industry standard DTDs such as DocBook and DITA. In addition, we develop custom EDDs and DTDs for specialized applications.

The elements and element attributes of a structured FrameMaker document are an ideal mechanism for storing bits of data that make it possible to integrate FrameMaker documents with other applications. We have developed custom EDDs with attributes that support the following types of applications:

• Special-purpose elements used to retrieve data from relational databases
• Special-purpose elements that describe topics in an embedded help system

In addition to developing the underlying EDD, we provide an end-to-end solution for embedded help authoring, complete scripts that encode embedded help topics in XHTML and upload them to a relational database.

• Special-purpose elements that control help-specific features in help authoring tools like WebWorks ePublisher Pro^®.

Unstructured Development: Custom Templates

GolehTek, LLC is your source for FrameMaker templates.

New to FrameMaker? We work with you to produce FrameMaker versions of existing designs.

Along with templates, we also develop custom tools for managing styles in unstructured FrameMaker documents and books. Often, our clients will have us develop a set of templates, along with tools to ensure that styles are applied consistently throughout a document set. We have produced tools for performing tasks such as the following:

• Imposing new templates on existing FrameMaker documents
• Removing unused styles, and ensuring consistency between all chapters in a book
• Generating reports that identify formatting overrides in FrameMaker documents and books, along with tools to undo the changes

WebWorks ePublisher Pro

GolehTek, LLC specializes in developing stationary templates for WebWorks ePublisher Pro^® that integrate seamlessly with your workflow.

We begin every engagement by seeking to understand how you want your FrameMaker and WebWorks templates to interact in your production environment. We then design and build a combination of FrameMaker and WebWorks templates, transforms, and scripts that enable you to produce your printed and on-line deliverables efficiently and reliably.
